Turn strategy into a story people can understand and act on

One of the biggest challenges during growth and transformation is not deciding what needs to change. It is helping people understand why it is changing, what it means for them and how they can contribute.

Neptune helps organisations bridge the gap between the strategy developed at leadership level and the understanding, engagement and action needed from the people responsible for delivering it.

Our approach is practical and highly focused on the organisation itself, the strategy, its leaders, its people and the conversations that need to happen.

Strategy2Story

Senior leaders often understand a strategy because they have spent months developing it. Employees haven’t. One of the biggest mistakes during transformation is assuming the same story works for everyone. It doesn’t. Every story has an audience.

A strategy may be written for senior leaders, boards and decision-makers, but they are not the only people responsible for bringing it to life. Employees need the strategy translated into what it means for their role, their team and the decisions they make every day.

Strategy2Story helps leadership teams make that translation. The objective isn’t to simplify the strategy until it loses meaning. It is to translate it into a story that makes sense to the people expected to bring it to life.

We help connect two sides of the same story

The Business Story

Explains where the organisation is going, what is changing and why it matters, building understanding and belief in the strategy.

The Employee Story

Explains what the strategy means for people, their work and the part they can play, building confidence in what it means for them and their role.

Employee engagement

Employee engagement should create insight that leads to action, not simply another survey score

We help organisations turn employee feedback into meaningful insight and action by understanding what people are saying, identifying what matters most and helping leaders decide how to respond. Depending on what is needed, we can support different stages of the process, from survey preparation and analysis through to communication, action planning and follow-through.

  • Preparing engagement surveys
  • Reviewing employee insights
  • Identifying themes
  • Developing leadership responses
  • Improving communication
  • Closing the loop with employees

What I have learned…

Effective communication is not about sending more information. It is about understanding what people need to know and creating the right conversations around it. That means giving people leaders the confidence and tools to communicate clearly, creating opportunities for questions and listening, and maintaining consistency across the organisation without expecting every leader to sound scripted.
